Either way, I am screwed!

I am not someone who is abreast of the latest technologies and feel overwhelmed while using 3 social media apps at a time. Yes, someone who fantasizes about life in the '60s or '70s, the time when FOMO was just 4 letters joined together and made no sense.

Yet, I am quite proud of my tech skills because it is me who educates my parents on various online things like using facebook, you tube, how to transfer money using Gpay, how to retrieve a forgotten password, etc. Every time, they stumble upon something, I get a call

"Hey, Forgot the google password. Can you help me out? Your sister knows nothing! (Me being at the proudest. Fun fact: My sister would have already retrieved the password many times and would have suggested me).

or

"I forgot the Gpay pin. I have to transfer some money at the earliest and the bank is not working today."

or

"Got over a call with my friend, apparently he has sent me a friend request in FB and it is not seen anywhere."

For all such requests, they request my expert help.

A few days back, I was planning to watch a movie. Normally, I religiously go to my paid OTT accounts and search and double search. I got no luck this time.

I was sharing my plight with my brother, who is a Gen-Z (born after 2000).

"Just google search the movie, it will show which platform it is available.", I never noticed this fact.

For a moment, I was surprised and then I said, I do not have a particular movie in mind, wanted to look at my options before going to my rather proven method of movie watching.

He said, "Well, Netflix has a bigger movie library" (This was before Amazon acquired MGM. I don't know the situation now). Another piece of information in 30 seconds.

I was thinking to myself, "The next generation will call me a cave woman if I am not updated to the tech stuff. For the new generation, everything is a fad and by the time I get used to something, something else might have replaced it".

Either way, I am screwed.

Mean while my phone beeped with a new message from Dad, "Aswathy, how do I pay the electricity bill online?"
